Quite a name for a month. I looked up what August really means, it means ‘honourable, awesome.’
Awe some as in both awesome as in inspiring and awful.
Welllll. If you live where I do, you’d sense the turmoil up close: from non existant rainfall to political upheavals that made BBC local news. I’m stoked. Every Indian is at this point. ‘Something very bad or good is about to happen,’ they say. In the middle of all that I begin to paint after a break.

If you’re asking what drives me at this point…here it is, in Verse Quote (Feature Image). ) ‘I can do all things through Christ who gives me Strength..’ Quote, the Bible).
So I’m painting a 4ft by 4ft for nice Surgeon people in my local State. They send me pictures of their Operation Theatre, and would like Jesus at Table. I’ve never painted His face, but by now I’ve moved from careful brush strokes into new terrain. I want His Face like never before:
what do you know: in 20 minutes the face of a smiling Jesus arrives. Its a Miracle. Story not over.
We are visited hy Simi, who worships trees. Simi isn’t too well, but wants to chat. Just when I paint they want a chat.
I ask if she’s tried talking to the Jesus I told her about earlier, because He has more strength than I ever will, to listen to Simi. But she leans over my easel and whispers sentences I will never forget:
‘I couldn’t read that Bible, was very tired and had a headache. Just curled up there, and then a person dressed in white clothes came and touched my forehead. When I looked up, He vanished? The headache was gone. I couldnt see His face, dont know Who that was…’
Later she looks at my painting of the Jesus, her eyes widen, then they look away. I ask if the image looks familiar, she half nods, “..but didn’t I tell you I never saw his face…?!”
To say the least, I’m jealous that Simi got that Sacred Touch, (and startled that she kept looking away from my paintingl :
does God work via 4ftx4ft human moments? Would He step through fatigue, to touch a tired woman?
Did my Jesu just step through my own Season of Unrest and Canvas for Peace with Him…
..didn’t He?
