“The Greatest misunderstanding is that we are not loved by God.”

If my pet could talk, the first thing he’d ask, is for me to please read Wendell’s ‘Peace of wild things’

"I come into the peace of wild things..who do not tax their lives with forethought of grief,
I come into the presence of Still Water
and I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light..."

Wendell Berry

all this stabs me with the volume of Love God has poured into us, into nature. The fury of a storm, the iron grip of darkness, even they tell of His hoard of absence of darkness….

and I’m startled by how our Pet has sensories for frequencies I do not have, or do not know to use. This upsets me, that I am good on catching darkness fall, but may not catch Light in the palm of my soul. And yes, on how bad news is headlines but the Good News is banned.

I have no words for the way we humans eradicate Joy, like leprosy, but will harvest War and everyone last one of Its babies.

My Pet ofcourse is speechless with these things.
