Walk with me
up narrow valley bends
or by gullies in our minds.
these are strange Times.
You were here, Jesus: not much really
changes. Inside we are still alone, afraid,
Inside we do not stop looking for the perfect
travel- mate

Love every kind of transport really, just no bungee jumping, tightrope travel or para gliding either. Now if someone invited you to walk on water, that’d be a challenge. Heights and tall stools, scare me, but not aircraft! Isn’t that odd. It is just acquired taste?
Sheen offered me a goan sausage, says thats an “acquired taste”. At Yona’s old school the Sisters once invited me to lunch and it was the tastiest bitter gourd dish I’ve ever had. Since then I’ve acquired a taste for bitters that can be seasoned with just the right ingredients.
Going cross country has worked fine for us on wheels. If you’re like me you want the scenery. If you’re like my NJ, you’re thinking hard on the destination, on time!
Trains can be a dream or nightmare where I live with my billion darlings. They can sit in your lap, can congregate around shoulders, stare you down, fall in your toes from the upper berth where they might be ticket-less- travelling. If you’ve got all your seats booked on time, I absolutely LOVE the station stops and varieties of people/towns/villages/cities/ we pass through.

Last month Nj and I had to take a short trip to a nearby state. My feet aren’t as agile to step up those steep iron (rail) steps, via crowds going in and out, together – all in a minute! The Express stopped too brief, but it wasn’t bad at all. Infact it was such fun.
We sat close between people, they were kind and dear. Shyla, a blind mother sold hair clips. Mukhia sold tea. Taru chatted about her life in Bengaluru, as a Caregiver for older people.
Going cross country is a dream I’ve had recently, and we’re taking it in small steps. Our country has unbelievably vivid stops, and each different from the other.
If we go back in history, to when Jesus walked on water, …they walked a LOT. I wish! Imagine walking with the One Person you absolutely adore. He knows what you’re made of. He cares, and can discuss your life like no one can.
This month I’ve been asking for the stability to walk with the One Who never stops carrying that Cross, for you and me. This is something I’ve been thinking on, a lot.
