    Innocence will never leave,
    and joy will never fly.
    For laughter, friend, you shall not grieve
    nor wave honesty goodbye.
    Gentleness will yet remain,
    and you shall keep strength;
    peace will help you bear the pain,
    and love shall stay at length
    for all these are God’s covenant
    from His pieced heart to yours,
    and hell will never circumvent
    what Our Lord assures
    through the blood of Calvary
    to His final victory.
