#30.prayer-a-day

Dear Creator mine/ours,

This day has a whole different energy. Thank You, for every memory and the new ones we will make today. We’re an earth full of images, needs, wants, opinions, agendas, bruises, healings, altars, disrepair, guns, roses, thefts, fear, sadness, shadows, light, noises, silences, pain, meds, transit lounges, tables, chairs, homes, rooms, doorways, gates, yards, acres, inches, threads, needles, despair, hope, faith, lack, love, losses, ashes, beauty –

I cannot pray intelligently – but I give You my reverence. I’ve not dressed my words, nor combed my thoughts, but here I am. A little tattered. A little worn. But hopeful. Ay, a prisoner of Hope, of Beauty, of Peace. You distract me Father. Every time I go into a rabbit hole, there’s a ray of light seeping in, searching me out. As if we were one child. As if the dark nasties that taunt, themselves bear witness to Your Presence. And where You are, shadows rush away. I’ve seen that. Thank You❣️

So I’m here to ask:

today may the hours fill with every blessing you ever sent our way, from the day we began to now. May hearts fill with joy like when we were little and skipped or ran on walls, and climbed trees for the sheer thrill of it. Yesterday I saw a child dance at a wedding. It was chilly and she was cold but she twirled on Lil feet one silver shoe falling off. My heart borrows some of that. Yes I remember meanness and hurt. May that sort out please. Grant me/ us the faith to stand tall on mountains and enjoy the view. Tall prayer. Why not:

You are my Strength. The Light in my rabbit hole. The joy in my twirl, this 30th, this December.

And please touch my Reader, I will never see them, but You do. May this day be a Visit from our Creator. A day to remember with a Peace that passes human understanding., With Faith that sees the Unseen. With Love that crushes every last negative, with Your brand of eternal delight.
