Today’s Prayer
Dear God. I wish
praying was
as easy as
going to a
SALE! but praying
is first - raking out
yards of bitter root
soil? Praying is : You
emptying me of a year's
burned ash&bark? I couldn't
have guessed, but here I am
- an emptied Jar. Show me what
You do with emptied Things - Can
there be Miracles? Help me root
in You anew, now and always.
May Your DaySpring fill
my emptiness, pour out
this empty jar with
Your Essence.In
Jesu's name
I pray.

'Whispers of Miracles'
UNLIKELY ?
This Season is bitter/ sweet for many of us. We’re doing 31 days of Listening For His Voice in response to a lady who asked us to please write down these prayers, even if it was informal. We’re grateful for her request. This is personally cathartic!
In the noise around, it is easier to identify with crowds, than with a Silence. For some, it might be more ‘relatable’ to try smoking or alcohol, abusive speech, or self harming than connect with the Divine Source of our very breath. Today’s Illustration of the Empty Jar (shape poem above), takes from the first Miracle of Jesus, at the Wedding of Cana, ‘Water to wine’. The wedding had run out of their customary drink, Jesus, on request, asks the Servers to fill 6 Empty Jars with water. They must’ve wondered, but they do that, and pouring out, they see new wine, tastier than what was first served! This event would be coined with, “The best is yet to be” …
Wherever we’re at this time of the year, I’m like this joyfully emptied Jar. Asking for a Filling of that Dayspring – the Presence of the Life Breath of God. The imagery of a Vineyard smacks👇🏼 of ✝️ransformation. Prayer can change things for us, or change us for things. We might misunderstand the process, yes a Chrysalis might.
