40 Days, 40 diverse writers @the Cross.

I’ve had the privilege of writing with some of the finest, in this Lenten Devotional : ‘Shaped by the Lamb’, inviting you to reflect on the Person of Jesus.

LENTEN DEVOTIONS:
by Rev Clements, ChurchAt -Powai, Mumbai, India.

The desire is to become like the One we follow…” Says Rev.Dr. Cecil Clements who delivers the Word in everyday language that is both down to earth, and unforgettably soul stirring.

As you reflect on the characteristics of Christ, it is our prayer that …you will not just admire.. but emulate them in your own life…” Quote Rev.Dr. Clements. Church At Powai, Mumbai, India.

Do you too wonder how much time we have, till we cannot share our heart anymore? How long before beautiful books are banned, or the freedom of expression, oh Reflectives @ Blogs?! While we can, please read up, write, re-read.

🌿

Below, is my Page 39, of the Devotional: posted with permission. I’d love for you to get all 40! These Writings are honest-to-goodness masterpiece Reflections based on the Person of Christ, as seen by contemporary people like you and me, from all walks of Life. (Do check below for where you can grab your own online read. And let us know if it wasn’t worth it!)

“JESUS THE COURAGEOUS ONE.”

Luke 9:51

“He set His face to go to Jerusalem.”

“As this verse plunges into the next, His Chin is hellbent. In that pivotal moment could Jesus have turned back to safety? Instead He looks right into that seemingly brutal act of Grace which would Raise New Testament’s Cornerstone of Christendom. It is likely He set Himself in a final defiant hunt for souls among ‘white sepulchres’ and Pilate’s hand-wash bowls. Luke’s Narrative presents Jesus as the epicenter of Yahweh’s Compassion.

I tremble to think the Trinity reads this as we reflect on a 2026th Lent.

We humans split hairs over securities. Not Him. He was man, God, Savior. ‘Courageous’ may only hint at Sacred Emotions on trial here: the Son of God intentionally nailing Undying Love.

Acts of Grace can be complicated; it takes two. The Giver, and Receiver. That said, am shaken at how deep Jesus set His face towards a city that would forever represent the Saved. His is the Face of Redemption and I get an unsettling feeling you and I are included here:
unsettling because to me He’s gazing past BC, into AD. Yeshua- Ben- God looking right through those walls to muddled Cross roads in our own cities.

Setting His face to Jerusalem”, crushes every horrific design on Humanity, if we believe Him. What could Someone like Jesus ask regarding my territory? As Recipient of priceless Grace, what is my response?

Praying we press on, en-couraged.

REFLECTION QUESTION: Where is Christ calling you to stand courageously today?

PRAYER: “Courageous Savior, Who faced suffering with resolve, strengthen my times of opposition, Grant me boldness, tempered with Love.”

RaylaNoel.

As we move past this 4th day into the next, may He become more real to us, than we think possible. I wonder why its called the “Lent” though? Should check that up.

Shalom, peace. Nothing missing, nothing broken
