Courtesy of the Cross

Day 2 of Lent

Some one asks me where exactly I’m from : India has a few parts, all of which root back to hemispheres -who- knows?! I’m southern Indian, with Christian roots, and accents from all our teachers & mates we grew with. That and more. The bloodline of Faith. The Cross. That lineage, Receivers of that kind of peace. Mid other things.

We’re just back from another trip. Couldn’t help capturing these four in auto rickshaw, between towns. They loved the attention and waved back. If all our eyes recorded syllables, it was laughter, curiosity & a filling of gaps. Maybe.

If Jesus were here, He’d have loved being with been them 4+ , more likely. The Season of Lent, is Grace lending me more Time to be around my own genre of humanity – & share space, share a prayer, share all the Christ we can.

We couldn’t stop mid road to share anything more than a fleeting moment, but I need to dedicate these words to my dear fellow travelers this week:

Father in heaven, & here on earth with all of us, irrespective of historic or stoic differences, please visit us each. May these days, leading to the Cross, be an unusual visit from You, ( in ways I can’t know). These are my precious co- citizens. Often there’s so little I can do for anyone outside my four walls. My family, their birthdays,…or…oh even these precious 40 days leading to Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday. Teach me what I can do with the next 24 hours You gift me Abba. Teach me the Courtesy of the Cross

Teach me. And do bless my people. All billions of us co- spinners on earth, with You.

In Jesu’s name I ask,

Amen (so be it)”
