#20 prayer-a-day
Dear God
May today and the rest of my life, find You in every turn I take: in malls, smaller places, zebra crossings, under bridges, in sweet or peppered tempers, oh- in hugs, in rejections, in warmshine, or chilly mist, may I find You- You looking for me, waiting in the cross roads of Life, as if I were, an only child.
Last evening at a Mall, we saw a wee Crib at the Billing counter: – gentle Reminder that He is with us: Christ paying our Price, all the way to Eternity, if we get that.
Between ugh Christmas headlines, there’s the silver lining-
thermocol snow (where I live), red hatted Santas doing carol rounds accompanied by harmonium, tambourine, song sheets, Christmas cards, heart shaped candy. Neighbor cooing at the baby Jesus crib in our living room, as if He were just born now-
oh that lightness in the air that cannot be Store bought…it is as real and true as bad news, only more heart lifting, muchhhhh more!
This year we’ve been giving out a few room heaters to some very alone and precious people😅, yes its been unusually cold for us, where we live, this end of the Equator. I added that here, because Shops cannot know what someone actually needs.
“The most fun thing I’ve done recently..?”* Oh yes, it was totally insane Joy, playing in our home river, and finding a couple of rare Otters too. They frolicked, dived for fish, surfaced at a rock, sunbathed, showing off amber fur all shiny, before disappearing back down that River.
