Guest Post: “Simeon and the Holy Work of Waiting.” By the Devotional Guy #Advent2025

.

The Devotional Guy™ is a blog written by Rainer Bantau, offering wisdom for faithful living as a Christian in a post-pandemic world.

Rainer Bantau’s phrase, ‘Holy work of waiting’ caught my eye just now. We haven’t had a Guest Post in a while, and this one is so on point, it had to be shared. In his words, “Hi, Im glad you’re here. My name is Rainer (RY-ner). I am an avid blogger, visual artist, and minister of the Gospel. I am passionate about seeing people thrive and flourish as they grow in their relationship with Jesus.”

If you have never read of Simeon in the Biblical narrative of that first Christmas, then do take a moment to check out this Post, by a well versed Writer on themes that run from Faith based Gems, to our everyday! If you (I have, which is why this one resonates with me, like a clear loud Bell in an empty waiting sky) ever waited and nothing happened, you questioned God, you questioned your own reasons for waiting …do get in this Post. For me it shines like a Lamp in the dark. And if it made a difference in your life, do say.

There you go, read on. And thank you Rainer Bantau for this one. May it bless everyone as it has blessed us here at Innerdialects.

Advent invites us into that same remembering. We look back:to the overarching story of God continuing to show up throughout Scripture. to the manger…”
